Grandpa

The only father I have ever known. I am grateful to have such an amazing person shine so brightly in my life. I want you thank you for everything you have ever done for me, and I am sorry for ever giving you a hard time, if I ever did. Thank you for always being there for me when I needed someone. When things were rough when we were little you stepped up and became a father everyone wishes they had. You were the greatest. Not a mean bone in your body. You were a true angel that god sent to us on earth and into our lives. Noone can ask for a better person than you. I wouldn't want anyone else but you. No will ever come close to you even if they tried. you were one in a million. No one will ever be taking your place in my heart. You will always have my heart wherever i go and what i will do. I know you will be proud of me no matter what, because thats who you were. Always being pround of your grandchildren.

I will miss you everyday, every second of my life. I know you are in a better place now. No more suffering, no more pain.
I will miss how you used to rub my head everytime you walked passed me when i was sitting down at the kitchen table with grandma. I will miss how you would always be there when I got home from school with a big smile on your face, asking me how my day went and what i learned in school. I will miss your kindess of words and wisdom. I will miss at holidays when you would ask me to turn on the ball game for you, so you can enjoy before we sat down for dinner. I will miss when I would come over and you left your bed unmade so i can curly up and go back to sleep while you went bowling with your friends. I will miss when you got home from bowling to see if I was still sleeping and if I was you would tell grandma not to make so much noise because,"the baby is sleeping."

I will never forget when you used to pick me up from school and take me to my horse back riding lessons, and you would do 70 down i-95 to make sure I got there in time. You would sit there till you saw me come out with doogie than you would tell me to call you when I got home and you gave me a big hug & kiss; and you went on your way.

Remembering all the times when you would tell us about the service and where you were stationed and how much you loved Hawaii. I will always remember those famous words you always said everytime you saw us,"Alhoa." I will NEVER forget the time I came home from school one day and you were sitting there munching on your snacks with your tea, while grandma who somehow got locked in the bathroom was yelling for you to let her out. And she came running down ready to yell at you, but you didn't listen to her one bit, haha guessing you didn't wear your hearing aid that day. I will always remember whenever you and grandma were talking how you would always say,"hey, lady", or "What Lady."

I could go on forever remember everything and re-writing them here, but I know it won't bring you back. I have to come to reality and realize you are gone, even though the pain hurts and my heart has been broken. I do know that you are up in heaven looking down and smiling at us with daddy and spreading your kindess through heaven. Your journey is not over,it has just begun and you legacy of your life & memories will be foever cherished everyday of my life, as long as i live. I will always love you never forget that.

Also, we all know how much you loved you snacks, so thats why we let you take some with you, but you have to promise you will share them with other people. :)

I love you Grandpa.

Grandpa,

You are our world, and we were so lucky to have you in our lives for so long. I love you with all of my heart, and will miss you every day of my life.

I'll never forget you, your smile, your kind and loving words, and most of all all the lessons you taught me. I will miss hearing the stories of the WWII and Honolulu, and always hearing 'Don't forget to call us when you get home' after I stopped by to say hi or dropped you off from an outing.

My heart breaks that I'll never get to you see you and talk with you physically, but I know you are with me every day of my life watching over me and guiding me down the right path in life. Your words of wisdom echo in my mind every day.

I'm forever grateful to have known and loved the most wonderful grandpa in the entire world. You will be in our hearts and minds forever and ever.

Love always,
Melissa
