Joe obviously was a great guy. "The Senator" and I used to work out together at the gym in Milford Connecticut. He always pushed me to work out correctly. My deepest condolences to Beth and the rest of the family.

I grew up on Cutspring Road as did Joe. We went through elementary school junior high and high school together. My favorite memory is of walking to and from Chapel Street School, we Cutspring kids were the 'Rear Walkers" and Joe was the "patrol" who was to keep us on good behavior. Fond memory.

Dear Beth: I'm so sorry to hear of Joe's (The Senator) passing he certainly put up a heck of a fight over this last year and I know he couldn't have done it without your support. Joe and I go back to Babe Ruth baseball even before High School. I have so many fond memories of The Senator over the last 50+ years from High School and beyond that we could write a book. He was a one of a kind friend with whom we spent many an adventure. When it comes to nicknames he has a few but one that also sticks out to me was "Eddie Haskell". He could really charm the ladies especially the older ladies, he could do no wrong in the eyes of my Mother no matter what shenanigans he was up to!
He was a great guy and a great friend, I will miss him dearly. Rest in Peace Senator.
