Joseph Rodrigues Obituary
Joseph M. Rodrigues, age 75, longtime resident of Bridgeport and beloved husband of Isilda Fernandes Da Silva Rodrigues, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 3rd, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital. Born on September 28, 1939 in the Villanova De Veiga, Chaves, Portugal, he was the son of the late Manuel and Umbelina Gloria Rodrigues. Joseph was an avid sports fan, who always enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and feeding the birds in his backyard. He was a loving brother, husband, father, and uncle who will be truly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his loving wife Isilda, Joseph is survived by his daughter Mary McCarthy; siblings Jack Rodrigues and his wife Gloria, Maria Silva, and Cidalia Silva; and many loving nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Antonio Rodrigues, his sister Anna Guedes, and son-in-law Edward McCarthy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on at 10 AM on Thursday, May 7th, 2015 at Our Lady Of Fatima Church, 1282 Noble Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06608 (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Burial will be private. Cody-White has been entrusted to handle the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the organization of ones choice in Joseph's name. Tio Ze I will miss you so much. You where always so kind, funny, understanding, and calming. I will forever remember going to your house has a boy and being amazed how you could get squirrels and birds to sit on your shoulder, and mine too. I also remember you had a gum ball machine that was full of peanuts, that we used to feed the squirrels. You are a great hard working Uncle, that always made everyone around you feel like everything was going to be Okay. You really made the world feel like a better and more beautiful place. You will always be remembered we love and miss you Tio Ze...
