Joseph Ulichny Obituary

ULICHNY Joseph R. Ulichny, age 79, of Stratford, died on Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at St. Vincent Medical Center, Bridgeport. He had been predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth (Fechko) Ulichny. Born in Bridgeport to the late John and Frances (Zihala) Ulichny, he was a graduate of Harding High School. Mr. Ulichny had been a Stratford resident for more than 50 years. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Ulichny was an electrician by trade who later became a well known building contractor throughout Fairfield County. He was the owner of the former Point of View Restaurant in Stratford. He is survived by cousins, Justine Kubik of Stratford, Raymond F. Zihala of Stratford, Francis Carroll of Trumbull, and Frank W. Zihala of Parsippany, N.J. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, April 22, 2005 at 10 a.m. DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Peace Church with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment in St. Michael Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may make contributions in his memory to Our Lady of Peace Sanctuary Fund, 10 Ivy Street, Stratford, CT 06615. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford.
