Joseph Wabuda Obituary
Joseph Wabuda, age 90, a lifelong Shelton resident, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. He is the beloved husband of 65 years to Loraine (Novotny) Wabuda. Joseph was born in Shelton on April 29, 1923, son of the late Samuel and Mary (Shirak) Wabuda. He operated Wabuda's Dairy Farm in Shelton. Joseph was a founding member of the White Hills Fire Department, the White Hills Civic Club, and the White Hills Coon Dog Club. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Shelton. He is the beloved father of Gary Wabuda and his wife Ann, cherished grandfather of Chris, Jessica, and Kelly Wabuda, and brother of Esther Swist. Joseph was predeceased by a son, Todd David Wabuda, four brothers, John, Peter, Michael. and Nicholas Wabuda, and two sisters, Julia Belske and Ann Hanas. Friends may greet the family at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby, on Saturday from 11 to 12 Noon. A funeral service will then be held in the funeral home at Noon on Saturday. Burial will be private. At the request of the family memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to VARCA, 5 Coon Hollow Rd. Derby, CT 06418. Offer condolences online at www.adzimafh.com.
