Josephine Provenzano Faccenda, age 88, beloved wife of Leonard Faccenda Sr., passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born on March 8, 1932 in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Philip and Ann Cicero Provenzano. Josephine was a retired billing clerk of American Fabrics, where she had over 20 years of dedicated service. In her spare time, she could be found baking, cooking, crocheting, and making afghans for everyone. She was well noted in the family for her money bouquets for the brides. Above all, nothing gave her more enjoyment than spending time with the family on holidays and birthdays. Josephine was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, who cared deeply for her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her beloved husband of 65 years, Leonard, survivors include her three loving children, Joann Kapitan and her husband Richard, Leonard Faccenda Jr. and his wife Barbara and Angela Faccenda-Abed, six cherished grandchildren, Amanda Campofiore and her husband Dave, Amy Kapitan, Alex, Jennifer and Christopher Faccenda and Anthony Abed, an adored great-grandson, Adam Campofiore, sisters, Jane Dortenzio and Maryann Marini, and her former son-in-law, Rick Abed, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Carl Provenzano and her grandson Gregory Charles Kapitan. Due to the concerns about social gatherings affecting us all at this time, funeral and interment services will be held privately for the immediate family.
