Karin DeBarros Obituary

DeBARROS Karin Elizabeth DeBarros, age 26, of Durant Street, Middletown, formerly of Oxford and Waterbury, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 26, 2005, at Griffin Hospital, Derby. She was born in New Haven, on August 10, 1979, beloved daughter of Martha Allen Lubowiecki of Oxford. Karin was a secretary in the Contagious Disease Department of Middlesex Hospital, Middletown and was a graduate of Stone Academy of Hamden. She enjoyed her family, friends and her kittens, Mischief and Sweat Pea, and listening to Music. Her loving family, in addition to her mother, Martha, includes her stepfather, Edmund Lubowiecki; a brother, Carl Neitzel and his wife, Kyle, of Lake Worth, Fla.; sisters, Elizabeth Bloom of Middlebury and Dana Ross of Fredericksburg, Va.; grandparents, Edmund and Elizabeth Lubowiecki of Middlebury; two aunts, Nancy Harding of Norhthampton, Mass. and Susan Grondin and her husband, Robert, of Raymond, Maine; a nephew, C.J. Neitzel, of Lake Worth; a niece, Jamie Lynn Neitzel of Lake Worth; and three cousins, Terry Benson, Karen Neitzel and Jim Neitzel. A Memorial Service in celebration of Karin"s life will be held at the Oxford United Church of Christ-Congregational, 3 Academy Road, Oxford, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2005, with the Rev. Lucille Fritz, pastor, officiating. Expressions of sympathy in Karin"s memory may be made to the Oxford United Church of Christ-Congregational Organ Fund, 3 Academy Road, Oxford, CT 06478. The Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (Route 67), Seymour, is assisting the family.

Martha,

My heart goes out to you. I cannot imagine the loss you must feel. My prayers are with Karin, you, and your family. Although I have been away from Oxford for several years now, my heart is still there. Our girls spent many childhood hours together that will always be remembered. I hope you can take comfort in those memories and know that Karin is at peace.

Karin brought many smiles and shared good times with my family and me. She was my very first friend in Oxford and we had a lot of great laughs together. Martha, you taught my sister Corinne the beauty of music which she will cherish forever while Karin and I sat back and giggled at my loss of a tooth in a peanut butter apple in your dining room. Karin was a very very special lady to me. We shared so many great memories to each other. We spend so many days together by going out to eat and fairs and talk to each other.
