I am so sorry to hear of Kathleen's passing. Growing up in Connecticut, Kathleen made an influential impact on me during my formative years. Her encouragement, unrelenting optimism, and vigor were second only to her contagious laughter. My fondest memories of Kathleen include our movie nights - going to see "Legally Blonde" together and literally laughing to the point of tears - ironic considering I now find myself in law school, referencing that movie on a near-daily basis; her encouraging my singing ability as we jammed out to the Spice Girls (my singing ability is still questionable, but I appreciated the encouragement); her enthusiastically coaching me through a list of French vocabulary - fitting since I now find myself living in a French-speaking city; and above all, her unwavering support through so many childhood endeavors - from watching me as a ball boy at our local tennis tournament (bursting with excitement from the sidelines), to my high school graduation. Kathleen watched me grow up, and I so wish she could continue to see me do so. More than anything else, Kathleen showed me what it is to be an amazing person: to open her home to a kid looking for a friend; to be constantly warm and welcoming; to going on adventures (movies and popcorn and playing with dogs can be huge adventures for a twelve-year-old); to speaking to that kid as someone who has ideas, valuing his opinion and thoughts on life. She treated me as I am sure she treated everyone else - with kindness, respect, and an open heart. If we could all live our lives the way Kathleen did, the world would be a kinder, gentler, and better place. Do not rest tranquilly my friend - live it up and have a ball, wherever you are. I hope you are doing just that. Love you.

Although it has been years. My heart is breaking. She was one of the best. I will always remember are wild and crazy spaghetti nights on dickie avenue. We lived together for a short period of time out of high school and we were like sisters. We lost touch yet she has always held a special place in my heart. I can hear her laughing and telling me. I got your back even from afar. Her smile and goodness will be with me forever. Sleep we'll my sweetest friend. Till me meet again. You friend forever. Jayne
