My dearest Kelly....I miss you. You were one of my best friends. When I see pictures of you I can feel your heart just shining through to me! You were such a beautiful gift with your wit, courage, and compassion! I can hear your awesome laugh in my head right now as I type this :-). I remember the weekend of your funeral; the snowstorm, the 8 hour drive ahead of me, and being freshly out of the hospital healing from a c-section, my baby home after a week in the NICU. I chose not to go, a decision that has never stopped weighing on me. I hadn´t imagined not being there to complete that circle of love with all those who cared so deeply for you. But I did it from afar, no less powerful in the end. I just wanted to share that your spirit has not left me. Thank you for being you and I cherish the time we had!!

I did not know Kelly, but have known her mother since college and recently had the opportunity to reconnect through a small reunion which is when I first heard of Kelly's illness. I was amazed at Margo's ( and I'm sure, Mike's also) strength and grace through this time. I'm sorry that I didn't have the opportunity to know this wonderful child. The family will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Kelly was a darling child and a beautiful woman. We haven't seen her for many years, but we know and love her parents who have been wonderful friends to us thru good times and bad. We are sorry that you will not have her with you in the same way, but her spirit and her love will be with you always. Love to you all,

It has taken me a few days to get up the courage to write this...It's as if it wasn't real until I saw the words. Kelly was one of my dearest friends. Miles nor time dulled the edges of our strong and shining friendship. She has been my pinnacle of inspiration over the years. She had such strength, tenacity and courage. It was truly awe-inspiring. She was also one of the funniest people I have known too! Man, did we have some good times. And her heart was gold and over-flowing with love and encouragement for others. Even when she faced her toughest of times, she was there for me. It blew my mind how centered and positive she remained even in the face of life's greatest adversities. No matter how much time God let her grace our lives with, it would never feel like enough. Thank you for being such an amazing force. You were a gift to so many. My love and sorrow goes out to Mike, Margo, Michelle and Guy. You are in my prayers. I am so sorry I cannot be there for the memorial tomorrow. Please know I am there in spirit. I will miss you, dear Kelly, more than words can say.

Kelly and Eliza in Columbus, OH August 2013.

I cannot believe that such a dear co-worker is now at rest in the hands of God. I worked with Kelly for several years at Home Connection. She would always go the extra mile to make sure that the participants were able to stay in the program re: their fiancés. I just cannot believe my ears. I remember when she told me she was sick. My heart goes out to the family...May the angels wings hold you tight at this time. I am so sorry for your loss.

Geri and I are praying for Margo, Mike, Michelle and Guy. I remember the warmth and joy of the St. Monica's community many years ago. The Connelly family were a blessing for all of us. From what I read Kelly lived with generosity and love made possible by your love for her. That makes the loss harder. Mad God give you healing.

Kelly Connelly was a beautiful woman who loved her family and her life. She found her purpose and never let anything deter her from her path. I will always remember when she visited me at school and we got lost in the worst part of DC ... laughing about it ... and she was the calm to the driver (my best friend), when we got lost. That's just what her demeanor was ... "Take it as it comes". Kelly was a beautiful soul and her time was short. She is already missed by so many. She will be missed, always. Love and BIG hugs to Margo, Mike, and Guy.

There are no words that can express the sadness of losing such a good friend. Kelly and Guy have been such a great part of our lives, sharing some great moments together that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. I will always remember Kelly for her selflessness and kindness toward people. The world will miss her and will not be the same without her. May your spirit be a blessing on us all and give us the inspiration to become better people and inspire peace. I am so sorry for the loss of all those that were touched by you, specially Guy, Margo, Mike and Michelle.
