Kenneth Klein Obituary

Kenneth R. Klein
April 25, 1960 - August 21, 2025
Kenneth "Ken" R. Klein passed away unexpectedly on August 21, 2025. He was the son of Stanley and Blanche (Schwartzreich) Klein, grandson of Henry and Ada Klein.
Born in Norwalk, CT on April 25, 1960, Ken spent the majority of his childhood in Westport, CT. He graduated from Staples High School in 1978, and went on to study business administration at Roger Williams College in Bristol, RI, where he also played football as the team's center.
Ken worked alongside his grandfather Henry and his father Stanley at Klein's of Westport, a longtime fixture on Main Street. Ken later went on to build and run his own successful landscaping and plowing business. He later continued his career with Pitney Bowes and GE at its Corporate Headquarters.
On many Fall and Winter weekends you could find Ken cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys or snowmobiling in Vermont with his favorite boys at "Pats" cabin. Ken also hosted a weekly poker game with his closest friends for more than 40 years. Ken loved life and all it brought him.
In 1998 Ken married Carol Wheeler, and together they built a life full of warmth and love. He became a devoted stepfather to Carol's daughter, Richelle, and cherished his role as both husband and father. Ken absolutely loved his wife Carol and his daughter Richelle. Ken and Carol shared countless happy times together, hosting family and friends for parties, gatherings, their famous Super Bowl parties, and many summer trips to New Hampshire.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; his daughter, Richelle Salvas of Charleston, SC, his sister, Carol L. Klein of NYC, NY, his stepmother Phyllis Klein, Westport, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Susanne Klein-Hertzel, his parents and his beloved grandparents.
Ken will be truly missed and remembered as a devoted husband, a caring father, brother and a loyal and generous friend.
Services will be held on September 4, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Abraham L. Green & Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT, followed by the burial at Congregation Beth El Memorial Park, 220 Richards Ave., Norwalk.
