Kenneth Miles Obituary

MILES Kenneth Walter Miles, age 83, of Seymour, entered into peaceful rest July 16, 2011 at the CT Hospice, Branford. Mr. Miles was born November 7, 1927 in Seymour, son of the late Walter E. and Anna (Kilian) Miles. He was a retired Civil Engineer specializing in bridge design. Ken was a communicant of Trinity Episcopal Church where he formerly served as a member and Clerk of the Vestry, he was also a Trustee there and did volunteer work in the office. Mr. Miles was a 1948 graduate, and was the Valedictorian of Seymour High School; he then graduated from Yale University where he received a Bachelor's of Engineering Degree. Ken was an avid sailor and had won numerous yacht races on Long Island Sound. He also enjoyed computer technology and surfing the internet. Ken leaves behind his many friends especially his parish family at Trinity Church. A service of Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church. Interment will be in Union Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be sent to Trinity Episcopal Church, 91 Church St., Seymour, CT 06483. The Ralph E.
