Siegel, Dr. Kenneth C.
Dr. Kenneth C. Siegel passed away on Friday March 22, 2013 at the age of 69, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Dr. Siegel founded Associated Neurologists of Southern, CT in 1975 and dedicated his life to his patients and the field of neurology, taking special interest in stroke, dementia, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, and headache. Dr. Siegel was also a major and chief of neurology service at the United States Army Hospital in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky from 1973 - 1975. He was listed as a "Top Doc" in both Fairfield Magazine and Westport & Wilton Magazine in 2012 and 2013 and was a lover of art and poetry. He will be remembered by all at Associated Neurologists of Southern, CT ("ANSC") for his sense of humor, love for sweets, love for his patients, and passion for people.

Dear Kenny
I remember so fondly how we played together when i met you in the fourth grade in YCQ. You and your family had just moved from Brooklyn to Dara Gardens. Blessed are you in heaven. Your friend, Howard Moskowitz

Dr. Siegel cared for and lovingly provided medical care to people with profound nonverbal Autism even though their insurance, Medicaid, reimbursed him at a very low rate. He sincerely was interested in their well being.

Kenny Siegel was my closest friend in Yeshiva of Central Queens from 1953 to our graduation in 1958. He and his family moved from Brooklyn to Dara Gardens apartments in Kew Gardens Hills. We played together every Shabbat until he and his famiy moved to Westbury. He told me that the letter C was for 'Coleman', the doctor who delivered him to his beloved parents, Caroline and Nat. So much to say about him, even after 65 years.

Dr. Siegel was a brilliant man. As a caregiver, I brought patients to see him, and I got to know him then.
In 2006, I became very ill and hospitalized for a few months. I became one of Dr.
Siegel’s patients. He was a huge part of my full recovery. I am forever grateful. My heart is with his family and all those who loved him.
