Kevin Bednarsky, beloved son of the late Benjamin and Della Bednarsky, who was born on June 27, 1948 in Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2021 in Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. Kevin was a world traveler who lived life on his own terms.
He is survived by his sister, Michele Hoekenga and her husband, Clark and his brother, Bruce Bednarsky and his wife, Carla. He will also be greatly missed by his nephews and great-nieces; Sean Hoekenga and his fiancé, Kelly Armstrong, Matt Bednarsky and his fiancé, Katie Brennan, Michael Bednarsky and Josh Bednarsky and his wife, Brianne, Ashlee Hoekenga and her fiancee', DJ Webber and Carlee Hoekenga as well as his first great-grand-nephew, Dennis Webber. Kevin always told his family, "I am the oldest and I am the "Boss". His family will greatly miss their "Boss".
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Jason Hoekenga.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 10:30 am DIRECTLY at St. James Church, Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Per Kevin's wishes there will be no calling hours and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Kevin may make a donation in his honor to Saint James Church "Care of my Father's House", 2070 Main St., Stratford, CT 06615 for the perpetual care of St James Church.
