Gloria A. Figerle

Gloria A. Julian-Figerle, age 66, a resident of Stratford, Connecticut, passed away on Monday, March 16th, 2026. Gloria was a warm, caring, and compassionate person who had a great ability to make friends wherever she went. She definitely left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Born and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Gloria was the beloved daughter of the late Theresa Millo-Julian and Donald Julian.

Gloria shared a devoted marriage with her late husband, Frank "Sonny" Figerle, a proud VA Veteran who served his country in the United States Army. Together, Gloria and Frank built a life filled with love, laughter, and a shared devotion to cats. Over the years, they lovingly cared for many cats, treating each as a cherished member of their family. Sonny was fond of cooking and took joy in sharing his dishes, and Gloria always loved enjoying everything he made.

Gloria was a mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Jennifer Rodriguez and her husband, Wayne Tanner, and Gina Julian and her husband, Chris Shedd. She was a proud grandmother to Jimmy, Madison, and Aiden, who brought immense joy to her life. She will be especially remembered for her cherished tradition of calling her grandkids each year to sing "Happy Birthday."

Gloria had a large family. She is also survived by her siblings: Diane Palarino and her husband, Tom Palarino; Donald Julian and his wife, Robin Julian; and Frank Julian, as well as many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

After bravely facing lung cancer for several years and achieving remission, Gloria continued life with strength and resilience. Gloria will be remembered for her loving heart, caring nature, and the joy she brought into the lives of so many. Her memory will live on through her family, her friends, and all the lives she touched.

Visitation will take place on Friday, April 17th, from 9:00-11:00am at Larson Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield, CT 06824 with a service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown CT.
