Florence Reilly Obituary
Florence (Allen) Reilly of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on January 14th, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and wit. A lifelong resident of Bridgeport, Flo was cherished by all who knew her for her generous spirit and unwavering positivity.
Born in on February 11th, 1932, to the late William and Esther (Svendberg) Allen, and raised in Bridgeport, Flo dedicated her life to her family, her friends, and her community. She was married to the late Edward Reilly, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. Flo's intelligence and sharp wit, which she exercised daily while working at General Electric in the accounting department, were matched only by her compassionate nature, especially her gift for making children feel seen and heard-an ability that endeared her to her many nieces and nephews.
Flo's keen sense of humor and bright outlook on life illuminated every room she entered. She had a special talent for finding the bright side of most situations, and her smile was a comforting presence to everyone around her.
She is survived by her loving sister, Arlene Curnin; and her brother, Peter Allen, both of Fairfield. Flo was predeceased by her sisters, Mae Neal and Dorothy Allen. She will be deeply missed by her family, including her many nieces and nephews, as well as her great and great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom loved her dearly.
Everyone who met Flo knew her as a beacon of kindness and joy. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of Flo's life will be held at Larson Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield, CT 06824, on Tuesday, January 20th, from 9:00-11:00 am, followed by interment at St. Michael's Cemetery in Stratford. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to a charity close to your heart.
Florence Reilly's bright spirit and generous heart will be missed beyond words. May she rest in peace.

Flon was a wonderful person. She and her late husband Eddie, were a big part of my childhood. I was the youngest and often tagged along to their home when my parents had game night. Flo was so generous and they always made me feel welcome and like a part of the family. I wish her peace in the loving embrace of God and being reunited with Eddie
