Kevin Hennessey Obituary
Kevin Robert Hennessey, 54 of Bridgeport, CT died July 14, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Kevin was born on May 7, 1967 and raised in Bridgeport, CT the son of the late Robert and Margaret (Curran) Hennessey. He worked for many years in the food industry for Stop And Shop and Shop Rite to name a few. But the last 8 years working for Columbia Elevator Manufacturing, as a cab assembler, is where he met and made many close friends. During his time off Kevin would enjoy attending motocross events with his niece Bridget and her fiancé Steven, he was the teams biggest cheerleader. Kevin also enjoyed playing cards and traveling down south to visit his sisters. He enjoyed kayaking, sightseeing and was always up for a challenge: meeting new people, and trying interesting and different cuisine. Kevin had a wonderful sense of humor, an adventurous spirit and loved his family dearly, he will be missed. Kevin was predeceased by his sister (Peggy). Kevin leaves behind his beautiful daughters, Emily and Lisa, his sisters, Noreen (Edward) D'Onofrio, Maura (Kevin) Charney, Sheila (Charles)Moore, Aunts, Patricia Dooley, Ann Curran, many cousins as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. In keeping with Kevin's loving and generous spirit his body was donated to the Frank H. Netter M.D. School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University for making advancements in education and research. The family would like to thank the Dr's and nurses at Yale New Haven Hospital for all the wonderful care they provided. There will be a private memorial service held for family and close friends.

I have lots of fond memories of Kevin, Peggy, Maura, Mom & dad growing up on Gurdon St, as kids. Mt mom was Barbara ( now deceased), was his lunch mother at Read school. As we grew up, we lost touch but reconnected years later when we spotted each other at the West Haven fireworks. We stayed in touch for several years by exchanging Christmas cards.
I'm so sad to hear of his passing and my condolences go out to his children, family and all who knew and loved him.
RIP Kev. Thanks for your friendship. The memories live on forever.
