Laura Rossignol Obituary
Laura S. Rossignol, age 90, of Stratford, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 in her home with her family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on March 9, 1930 to the late Joseph and Incoronata (Petruccelli) Garamella, she has been a lifelong area resident. Laura, a graduate of the University of Bridgeport, was a teacher at St. Thomas of Aquinas School from 1967-1977, she worked at Nordens from 1978-1990 and retired from AG Edwards, where she worked as an administrative assistant from 1990-2006. Survivors include her loving children, John Rossignol III of Orange, Joanne Begg and her husband Tom of Stratford and Leslie Penkoff and her husband Greg of Manchester, VT. 6 grandchildren, Alexis McGraw and her husband Clyde, Annie Hunt and her husband Rich, Harrison Penkoff and his wife Samantha, Ian Begg and Kathy DaSilva, Madeline Penkoff and John Rossignol IV, 2 great-grandchildren, Trip McGraw and Griffin Penkoff, several nieces and nephews. Due to the current pandemic, all arrangements are private. The Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green place, Stratford has been entrusted with the arrangements. Dear Leslie, Joanne, John,
I have always felt close regardless of distance. Our younger years have left us with joyful and heartfelt times together. I know how much your mom meant to our parents, they enjoyed and loved her very much.
I remember her as gentle and kind
with a beautiful smile and soft voice. It is comforting to know that she is resting in peace with God and her family.
