Lawrence Manson Obituary

MANSON Lawrence Manson, Jr., age 72, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 31, 2010 in his Bridgeport residence. He was born on February 15, 1938 to the late Lawrence and Marjorie (Day) Manson, Sr. in New Rochelle, NY. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force after serving his country during the Viet Nam Conflict. Until his retirement, he had been employed as a Property manager for various housing complexes throughout New York City and its boroughs. Left to cherish his memory are sons, Lawrence, III (Luz) and Darryl and Sean Manson; daughters, Linda Manson and Marjorie (Bobby) Pitt; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchild-ren; sister, Valerie Johnson; and a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Marjorie Hailey and Paula Lash. A Homegoing Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2010 at the funeral home with Bishop Ocie Gorham officiating. Friends may greet the family from 5 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. A final interment with military honors will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to George J. Peterson Funeral Home, Inc., 1041 Noble Ave., Bridgeport.
