Lorraine Maffei Obituary
Lorraine "Skippy" Maffei, age 92 of Fairfield, the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Maffei, Sr., passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025. Born in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Potash) Ruddy.
Lorraine was a dedicated secretary for Fleet Bank and for the medical office of Dr. Lawrence Blum and was a lifelong parishioner of Holy Family Church. Lorraine's best memories are of spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved sports and could always be found on the sideline cheering for her son and grandsons' games.
Lorraine is survived by her loving children, Robert J. Maffei, Jr. and his wife Eileen of North Ft. Myers, FL and Cathy Ives and her husband David of Madison. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Robert J. Maffei, III and his wife Diana, Alexandra Ives and Daniel Ives and his wife Regina; as well as great-grandchildren, Dante and Olivia. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Thomas, Edna, Collette, Patricia and Gary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Rd. in Fairfield. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery.

To Bobby and all of the Maffei family...my sincere condolences to you. I always enjoyed seeing your Mom at the Prep gatherings "back in the day". She lived a good, long life but now it's time for her to be reunited with Coach Maffei! May she rest in peace.
