Louis J. Savino

SAVINO Louis J. Savino age, 72, of Bridgeport, died Thursday, November 9, 2006 in his home. Mr. Savino was born in Bridgeport, and was a lifelong area resident. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and was retired form Peerless Aluminum Foundy of Bridgeport. He was an avid Mets and Jets fan and his grandchildren were the light of his life. He is survived by his wife, Joan O'Niel Savino; three sons: Louis T. Savino of Bridgeport, John A. Savino of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Christopher Savino of Bridgeport; four daughters: Mary Santiago and her husband, Edwin, Geraldine Savino, Cheryl Savino and Lisa Savino, all of Bridgeport; a sister, Roberta Forno of Sandy Hook; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Steven, John and Cara; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Mark Savino; and a sister, Evelyn Poklemba. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, Nov. 13, 2006 at 10 a.m. in the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue, Bridgeport. Burial will be in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m.
