My Grandmother,
To a special women who I will admire and look up to even after your gone. You showed me what a strong women is and you have left a great legacy behind. Each an everyone of us has a piece of you.
You have left behind a daughter who reminds me very much of you, my mom. When I see and hear certain things that she does it reminds me of you. Thank you for all the prayers that I know you prayed for me and my family when you were hear. You will be missed. Love Ya.

Lydia, You were truley a women to be greatly admired. You raised five children on your own, you took part in raising your grandchildren and even some of your great grandchildren. Your strenght,wisdom,faithfulness and dedication to God and to your family are a living testimony of your complete trust in God.You will be greatly missed and I look forward to seeing you again in heaven.

Abuela Lydia, God blessed me with having you as my great grandmother. You always made me laugh and showed that your only as old as you feel, because always looked good and kept it real for everyone .You were truly and still are an example to our family and you are so missed here. Never in my life have I met another women like you. You were the definition of strength to me and I find that I have lost some of my strength with you. I miss you in a hundred different ways and I especially miss your humor, it was unique just like you.I know you earned your date with the KING and it makes me smile to think you are amusing your KING like you always amused us but I just miss you...a lot. I still can’t believe that you are gone. Sometimes at nights it hits me and that’s when the tears come. You were so much more than just our grandmother. The pillar of strength this family was built upon. Although there are many things I will miss about you, I think what I’ll miss the most is talking to you and the long chats we used to have about the “old days”. Thank you for everything Abuela. Abuela, I never knew that I could have such a hole in my heart. I knew that your death would bring such sadness but I didn't know the imapact of your absence. You are so missed. You taught all your granddaughters to have strength and courage thru no matter what we go thru. No matter what you went thru you never left the Lord. I will live by your example and I will see you again in heaven. Cristal will never forget you and she misses your Bendiciones...but I know that she will also see you one day. Until then Abuela, Thank You for what you taught me and I love you always....
Betty, I know that this is the hardest time in your life. The void that has been left is almost unfillable but we have been so lucky to believe in God (thanks to Grandma) because he is the only one that will fill that void again. I know it will take time but you will see once again how wonderful our Father is. Take courage and take it one day at a time. It is the only way. I love you and I am there for you......

My Beloved Grandma Lydia...words cannot express how much I love you and will continue to love you until I see you again in heaven. You taught me to love God, be strong, and never give up on life. Your love for me was always evident. Through the years I grew to love you and appreciate you more. I'll never forget the times I spent with you when I was a child. You taught me how to sew and crochet. Your sense of style (clothes) has stayed with me. You showed me to "look good" at all times and to be proud of who I was because God made me. It's hard to believe your not on this earth any more, but I look forward to "going home" and seeing you again. In the meantime, I will continue to serve God, and pray that He fills me with the strength, perserverance and faith that you had till the end.
To my beloved aunts, your mom rests in God's loving hands. To my dear cousins..I love you all and will always see a piece of grandma in you all. Let's make grandma proud of us and serve the Lord with all our hearts and be there for each other always. God is good.

Our prayers are with the Diaz-Santiago family. I can assure you God will give you the strength to go on. In your lonely and sad times remember that your relationship with God is real and He understands your pain more than you can imagine. He is the real strength of your life. He will refresh your spirit and will renew your strength as He has promised. His love is unconditional and faithful in all His promises. He will never leave nor forsake you and His presence is everlasting.
Lydia rests in the hands of the Lord. Her times of pain and anguish are over. Now joy and peace are her daily portion. She has reached her destination and what better place to be than at the feet of Jesus. May God give you His peace.
