Dear Mom,

It has been two years since your acceptance into Jesus arms. In lieu of flowers the family request was donations to the American Heart Association. The red dress mission, a color I was never allowed to wear. I see you in radiant white light always there, to be filled with hope, "There is no fear, but perfect love cast out fear." 1 John 4.18. You looked into my eyes of what you called onion skin blue and I remember peace with you, wrapped in perfect love, in security, peace. Holding me, my white shoulders and a twisted spine you circled as you sang to me in the living room chair.

I have a bottle of Joy perfume you brought back from the pink sands of Bermuda. Joy, the smell of a thousand roses and like the little flower , St Therese of Liisieux, I cherish it. It is rarely worn but held in hope.
You taught me the humility to walk and not run, to give and not take, to love and not hate as you gave my life the best gift of the Miraculous Medal; to choose faith and to understand my choices of free will.

I thank you for that, I thank you for being my mother. The soul who taught me that Jesus Christ is perfect love, to truly understand how much God loves me. Where I would find security and take refuge-that love has no limits or boundaries and never changes. For there is nothing I can do or give to make him love me anymore, nothing I can door plan to make him love me any less. That he is love. For your love of angels, you gave me the gift of my Guardian Angel, Angel of God. My guardian angel, to whom God's love, entrusts me here. Ever this day be at my side to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.

Thank-you for giving me my life.

My Sorrowful Love,

Lisa Kober
