Margaret Patricia (Patty) Lavin Puglia, age 78, of Shelton, passed away March 17, 2014 in her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Puglia was born in Ireland to the late Bernard and Ann Marie Lavin and was a longtime area resident. She retired from the accounting department at Sikorsky Aircraft after many years of service. She is survived by her beloved husband, Patrick A. Puglia, of Shelton; her son, Paul Puglia and his wife, Joanne, of Trumbull; her daughter, Pamela Stamp and her husband, John, of Saunderstown, RI; her sister, Mary Frances Sorge, of Shelton; her brothers, Gerald Lavin, of Bridgeport, Bernard Lavin Jr. and his wife, Laura, of Clinton , Dr. William Lavin and his wife, Mary Ann, of Guilford, and Kevin Lavin, of Bridgeport; her sister-in-laws, Susan Lavin, of Milford and Maria Lavin of Madison; her brother-in-law, Joseph Sheridan of FL; her cherished grandchildren, Megan Puglia, Haley Stamp, Erin Puglia, Frank Puglia and Sean Stamp; many loving nieces and nephews and many dear friends including lifelong friend Marcy Shaw. She was predeceased by her brother, Shaun Lavin and her sister, Maureen Sheridan. Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd.,Trumbull. Interment will be private.
