Mario Joseph Forte

FORTE Mario Joseph Forte age 89 of Trumbull, formerly of Stratford, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 in St. Joseph Manor, Trumbull with his loving family by his side. Born in Tufo, Italy on April 4, 1922, he was the son of the late John and Adele Forte and was a resident of Stratford for many years and a retired machines for Remington Arms Co. Mario was a World War II veteran and a proud certified parachutist of the Office of Strategic Services. He enjoyed tending to his fig and fruit trees and vet getable gardens. Survivors include his beloved wife of 64 years, Loretta (D'Angelo) Forte, his loving daughters, Livia Pulitano, Joann Forte Smithbaker, Nancy Forte Dugay and husband John Dugay, and Loretta Forte Harnick and husband Blake Harnick; seven grandchildren, Louis Pulitano, Lisa Pulitano, T.J. Dugay, Julianne Dugay, Anthony Dugay, Cara Harnick, and Bryce Harnick, one great grandchild, Louis Anthony Pulitano, one son-in-law, Lou Pulitano; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Mary Tartaglia. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 10 a.m. DIRECTLY in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane., Stratford with a Mass of the Christian Burial. Entombment in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave. Bridgeport.
