Marion Jeannette Mark Ahrens, age 87, of Milford, widow of the late Alfred J. Ahrens, Jr. of Milford, died on January 2, 2023. Born in Milford in 1935 to George and Alice Mark. Marion worked many years as Office Manager for A. J. Ahrens and Son, an oil delivery business. She later worked in the Registrars of Voters Office for the City of Milford. She is survived by her daughter, Marty Ahrens and her husband, Gary Madison, of Waltham, MA, her three grandchildren and their spouses: Sarah and Xander He; James A. and Jenny Dowers of Milford; Melissa and Andrew Ciaravino of Randolph, NJ; by her son-in-law, James Dowers and his wife, Trish Saweikis of Brewster, NY; and her sisters, Ruth McDonald of Houston, TX and Helen Riha of Milton, FL. Marion was predeceased by her daughter Amy Dowers, son, Alfred J. Ahrens III, and her sister Carol Gara. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 BRIDGEPORT AVENUE, MILFORD. A Memorial Service will he held on Saturday, January 7, at 10:00 a.m.at First United Church of Christ (Congregational) 34 West Main street, Milford. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emma Davis Medical Equipment Ministry through the church or a charity or your choice.
