Mary Patricia LaPierre

LAPIERRE Mary Patricia (Bond) LaPierre, age 76, of Cary, N.C., a long-time resident of East Haven, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 9, 2007 after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. Patricia is survived by her husband, Deacon Joseph W. LaPierre; daughters, Suzanne T. Russell, Jennifer M. Dain, Mary E.Wassil, Lucille E. Fieldman and Anne M. Scandone; ten grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Lowe; and a brother, James Bond. She was predeceased by a sister, Ella M. Bateman and a brother, John Bond. Patricia was born in Bridgeport, on November 21, 1930. She graduated from Milford High School, Milford. She married Joseph W. LaPierre on February 13, 1960. Mary Patricia was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Mary Patricia lived for her family, loved holiday parties, singing, and playing her organ. Mary also enjoyed long walks and swims on Long Island Sound beaches and ice skating during the New England winters. Her funeral procession will leave the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Road (Rte 80), East Haven, Saturday morning at 11:45. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 12:30 p.m. Interment in All Saints Cemetery.
