Mary Moran Obituary

Mary Y. Moran
Mary Yish Moran, age 82, of Naugatuck, formerly of Seymour, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Beacon Brook in Naugatuck surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bridgeport on June 28, 1939, loving daughter of the late John and Mary Raczynski Yish. Mary was a longtime employee of Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford who lived in Seymour prior to moving to Naugatuck in 1997. She was a Valley Girl at heart who loved the Seymour Pumpkin Festival and pizza from Zois in her backyard. Mary greatly enjoyed knitting and crocheting with her friends at the library. Most of all, Mary loved spending time with her family and many friends. Her greatest joy came from caring for her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all, but will remain forever in our hearts.
Mary's loving family includes her son Henry Moran and his wife Barbara, her two daughters Cyndi Bashura and her husband Stanley and Bernadette Beamer and her husband Marvin, her daughter in law Amy Moran, her brother Gene Yish, her thirteen grandchildren, her seven great-grandchildren, her two great-great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her son James Moran, her daughter Ruth Anne Gavitt, her brother John Yish and her granddaughter Tanya Moran.
A Memorial Service in Celebration of Mary's Life will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village) in Seymour. Mary was one of the nicest kindest and most generous person I ever met. I used to work with her at Sikorsky in Stratford. She was loved and liked by many co-workers. May she rest in peace.

Your mother was a wonderful person.
She never forgot to send me a pair of her hand made slippers for my birthday. She had a kind heart and will truly be missed.
She was a valued member of my exercise program at work (Sikorsky).
My condolences goes out to your family she always spoke so lovingly about you.

My deepest sympathy to the Moran family in this time of sadness.
I worked with Mary at Sikorsky and so enjoyed talking with her. She always had a smile and kind word and loved her family so much just by the way she would speak of them.
She has gone home and although our hearts are saddened She is Smiling down on all as I know Mary would. RIP Mary you will truly be Missed
