Mary Louise Tall, age 83 of Stratford passed away peacefully at Griffin Hospital on Tuesday, November 22 with her daughter by her side.
Mary Lou grew up in Fairfield and worked in the cafeteria at Tomlinson Middle School having daily fun with her co-workers and keeping a close eye on all the neighborhood kids. Mary loved spending time with her family, playing bingo, going to the casino, local church fairs and larger agriculture fairs. She had an incredible bond with animals, she was often called the animal whisperer. A true people person she greeted everyone she met with a smile and welcomed anyone and everyone into her home. She loved to laugh, even if sometimes it was at herself. Her pleasant nature left a lasting impression on all her knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E Tall Sr, daughter Mary Louise Tall, 3 sons Kenneth E Tall Jr, Michael J Tall and Daniel J Tall and sister Doris Ovens. She is survived by her children Edward (Kimberly) and Ann Marie Blake (Anthony) of Stratford, Devoted Daughter in Law Stacey Tall, Grandchildren Kristy Abrego, Dustin Tall, Dillon Tall, Kenneth Tall, Bret Tall, Oliva Blake, Michael Tall (Dina), Erica Tall, Ian Tall, Dane Tall, great grandchildren Stella Abrego and Mason Reid, her sister Carol Greene, devoted caregiver Michelle Fugazzi and her family and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 29th from 11-12 at Dennis & D'Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral home at 2611 Main Street Stratford. Interment will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery in Fairfield
