Mary Ellen Voytek, age 82, formerly of Milford, the beloved wife of the late Michael A. Voytek Jr., passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Bridges by Epoch Assisted Living in Trumbull. Born on January 12, 1941, in Norwood, MA, to the late Anthony F. and Alice (Kohansky) Kneizys, she has been a longtime area resident. She was a retired operations assistant at Fairfield University. Mary Ellen was a member of Christ the Redeemer and St. Ann's Church choirs and was a former cantor at Christ the Redeemer. She was also a member of the Milford Senior Center and their choir. She was past-president of the Lady's Guild at both Christ the Redeemer and St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Fairfield, and was also a member of the Stashu Pendowski 4. Survivors include her devoted children, Joseph Kelley and his wife Gi of Malta, NY, Patrick Kelley and his wife Tricia of Somerville, NJ, James Kelley and his wife Kathryn of Flower Mound, TX, Timothy Kelley and his wife Cheryl of Southington, and Sean Kelley and his wife Melissa of Smyra, DE, her stepchildren, Dr. Theresa Voytek and her wife Donna of Glastonbury, Major Thomas Voytek and his wife Geri of MT Vernon, NY, and Tina Girandola and her husband Robert of Yardley, PA, 16 grandchildren, Patrick, Jack, Shannon, Erin, Meghan, Katie, Jake, Liam, Eric, Cindy, Nick, Mellissa, Christopher, Emma, Harry and Meg, a brother Vincent Kneizys and his wife Joann of Lititz, PA, a sister-in-law, Linda Voytek of FL, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Rev. Anthony Kneizys, Angela Keyack, and Francis Kneizys. The family would like to thank the staff of Bridges by Epoch for the kindness and care given to Mary Ellen. Friends may call on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, 501 Naugatuck Ave., Milford.
