My heart broke as I thought of my favorite Dr and learned he passed away so young. I know we got along so well as he was only a year older than me. God bless his family even though these condolences come so many years later...

Dear Lisa and Family,
We were so very sad to hear of Dr. Cappiello's passing. Our sincere sympathies go out to all of you at this time. Dennis was still his patient, until he went to his office the day for his visit and saw the note to call the other Doctor for visits. Dennis went to see him and asked what happened and all the Doctor could tell him was that he was ill. Dennis told me last night he heard of his passing. We were shocked! Lisa, please when you feel up to it, send me an e-mail.
All our love,
Dennis, Bettie & Kristine

To Lisa and all the Cappiello family, There just aren't any words to express how heavy hearted I feel and my empathy for you all. So I'll tell you a story from way back when I was a new grad LPN and Mike was a resident on call for the weekend. It was hellish weekend as you can imagine. Every patient I saw had a problem and I had to page the poor resident, Mike many times. After about are third spinal tap together one of us, probably Mike said, "we have to stop meeting this way". Boy did we laugh ! That is how I will remember him, a good natured smart guy,and an excellent doctor and diagnostician, who cared for my family memebrs as if they were his own .

Dear Lisa & The Cappiello Family,

Although I never did get to meet you Lisa, I had the privledge to meet your children. My heart just went out to you and the rest of the family. I received a call from your thoughtful neighbor to have us come to clean your home. My heart had already started to feel heavy with sadness to know what you and the family was going thru. I pray that you stay strong for each other, and to never forget the love that your dad had for all of you.
As we were cleaning, the family pictures were all in their special places. Showing the love & happiness that you all have shared in all of them. The precious memories are what will keep you going, and keep your father's legasy to go on forever.
Mike is no longer suffering, as he is in Heaven, and to remember some day you all will be together again.

With Sincere Sympathy,

I was so saddened by the passing of Dr. Cappiello III. I worked at St Vincent's Med. Ctr. when Dr. C. was a medical intern. I remember him to be a kind, honest, caring human being. I feel very fortunate to have known him and at times worked with him. He was taken way too soon. My condolences to his family.

God saw you getting weak,
a cure was not to be.
He put his arms around you
and whispered come to me.
Please, God, keep your arms around
him and give him special care.
Make up for all he had suffered
and all that was unfair.
Please find the softest pillow, Lord, to
rest his head upon, and put a kiss upon
his cheek and tell him who it’s from.

Dear Albina, Lisa & Family,

I'm truly so deeply sorry to hear of Mike's passing. My heart goes out to all of you in your sorrow and pain. I truly feel his loss and hold so many wonderful memories of him. First of all, it was an honor to have known him, both professionally and personally. He was the best boss I could ever have asked for after having worked for him for five years and I'll never forget his kindness, generosity and calling me affectionately "Annie". I'll never forget his kindness to my husband, Mike during his illness and then his passing. I suppose now your Mike and my Mike will be playing golf in heaven together...I shall keep you in my heart, my thoughts and prayers and know that I will always hold him dear in my heart.

God bless and in deepest sympathy,

Ann Marie ("annie") Calder (alias Ponzillo)

Lisa and Cappiello Family;
I am so sad to hear about Mike. I did not know him as well as many others here but enjoyed his sarcastic wit every time I spoke to him. We had many laughs !! I always looked forward to seeing you both. Lisa, I would love to stay in touch with you; we could meet at one of Mike's favorite places ! I will always remember waiting on the two of you and the fun bantering back and forth. Mike made quite an impression on me. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this somber time. Dear Lisa,Albina and family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Cappiello's death. He was a wonderful and caring Doctor and will be missed by the lives he touched. He was always there when I needed his advice and care. I enjoyed the many conversations we had when I came in for a visit. He certainly loved his family and the game of golf and could lift your spirits with his kind ways and concern for you as his patient.I was able to see pictures of his daughter's wedding where you could see the happiness in his face knowing he was able to enjoy her special day. We don't know why God takes some sooner than others, but we can look to God for strength and comfort thru these difficult times. My prayers and love are with you all.Take comfort in knowing that Dr. Cappiello made a difference in many people's lives through his medicine and caring ways.I will never forget his kindness. Please accept my deepest sympathy.Sincerely...Joan Carley

My family and I are so sorry for your loss. Dr. C saved my mother's life more than once, and he always made time to take my call, answer a question, or help at any time, day or night. You were both so giving of your time, and sympathetic to anyone who needed help. He will be greatly missed. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy, and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.

To the Capiello family...it was with disbelief and sadness that I read of Dr. Mike's passing. Although it has been many years since I was a patient, I so fondly remember not only his own compassion and kindness; but, I recall the warm feeling that came from a visit to the office. Mom was always so lovely and welcoming; and, Lisa and the "babies" were a testament to a beautiful, loving family.

Mike's sense of humor really helped to ease more than a few of my maladies. May he rest in peace and experience the eternal happiness with Our Lord that he so deserves. He was always, and is now, truly an Angel. My thougths and prayers are with you all. Sincerely ~ Marybeth Clifford

My heart is broken and tears fall freely as I try to convey to you what Dr Mike meant to me. First, I knew him as a resident and I worked in Admitting, then he opened hs practice and I became one of his first group of patients. Mike took such good care of me and my son, Jeff, never leaving even one stone unturned. I called on him during many a crisis in my life and he always assured me as he had many times that he was "only a phone call away." Now that's a devoted Dr., and I can't say I have had that experience with a Dr. since.
I remember when Melissa was born and how equally happy you both were with each new addition to your family. Dr. C took care of me until I left Ct. in late 1991. I used to call him from S. Jersey every now and then and he was the same sweet guy I always knew. There is nothing anyone can say to ease your pain. Just hold close to those precious memories. Some people never achieve the family happiness you did with each other and your children. I remember once Mike told me about a vacation you had taken and he said "When I saw my wife, I would have married her all over again."
LIsa, I love you and I loved Michael may he rest in peace.

Dear Lisa & Children & Family,
I was a Pharmaceutical Rep several years ago and Dr. Cappiello was known to all of us as the BEST doctor and the kindest of them all. I called on him in Bridgeport for years and even took him to Whitney Farms in Monroe to play golf-which he loved! He was so devoted to all of you, his family-a remarkable person. We moved here to Lakewood Ranch 8 yrs ago from Monroe, CT and we belong to Our Lady of the Angels also. I have such excellent memories of Dr. Mike. My heart goes out to the family, I remember when Mike first opened his office, I believe my father was one of his first patients, I remember when he told me my father wasn't going to make it, with a tear in his eye.
I had heard he was sick, but I had no idea he was living so close to me in Florida, or I would have attended the services.

Dear Mrs. Cappiello and family:
Dr. Cappiello was a caring physician to my mom, dad and husband for many years. When my dad became ill, Dr. Cappiello consoled my family as if my dad was a part of his. I remember how he made a special house call when my dad was bedridden to care for him. We will never forget that. Dr. Cappiello was a wonderful person and a caring physician. He was such a comforting soul. I know my family and I will miss him a great deal. Mrs. Cappiello, take comfort in knowing how much he truly loved his family. When my mom had an appt. at the office, we would admire the beautiful family portraits; it was evident how much he loved all of you. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Dear Lisa and family, I was deeply saddened to hear of the good Dr's illness I prayed for the best but suspected the worse. He always lessened the uneasiness of a Dr's visit by his singing, and joking, he often spoke of you and his "perfect" children. As the saying goes "only the good die young" May he rest in peace. My husband Phil and I have already been missing him. Please except our sincere and deepest sympathy. Debbie Russi and Phil Georges.
