Michael Czubatyj Obituary
Michael Czubatyj, age 52, of Milford, died on Saturday, June 7, 2025, after a brave battle with glioblastoma.
He is survived by his brother, Andrew Czubatyj; uncle, Jerome Czubatyji and his children Kathleen Amici (Christopher) and Stephen Czubatyj; aunt, Luba Shumyhora and her children, Zenon (Susan) Shumyhora, Raymond Shumyhora, Irene OSadcia (Paul), Lydia Frolian, Olga Davila, Christina Frolian; and many other extended relatives
Friends may call on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Pistey Funeral Home, now located at 2611 Main Street, Stratford. Panikhyda at 6:00 p.m. Funeral on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. directly at St. Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church (corner of Barnum and Noble Avenues), Bridgeport. Interment at St. John Cemetery, Stratford.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to either St. Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 255 Barnum Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608 or Yale Children's Hospital, 35 Park St., New Haven, CT 06511.

So very sorry to hear about Michael´s passing . So many of my childhood memories of Plast, summer camp and church activities included Michael . Our prayers are with the family .

I was saddened by this news. Seems I only spoke with him months ago. I still remember when I was a kid at Plast Camp playing on an old Farmall tractor that was parked on a hill. Somehow I managed to release the brakes and the tractor started heading downhill straight towards a building. Michael without hesitation sprung into action and with brute force stopped the tractor, probably saving my life. I will miss him. My condolences to his family.

We are saddened by the loss of Mike. Mike was considerate, grateful and a friend to all and we knew him from Church, Ukrainian events and of course, the Ukrainian American Club of Southport, CT of which he was a member in good standing. Rest in peace, Mike, we know you're in Heaven!
