Michael D'Avanzo Obituary

D'AVANZO Michael Anthony D'Avanzo of Fairfield, passed away after a brief illness on October 24, 2010. Michael, a lifelong resident of Fairfield, was born July 5, 1966 to his loving mother Frances D'Avanzo and father, Gus D'Avanzo. He was an avid outdoorsman with a deep passion for fishing, hunting and gardening. His other hobbies included classic cars and motorcycles. Michael spent a majority of his professional career working at Sikorsky as an electrical technician. He is survived by his mother, Frances, brother, Jerry D'Avanzo and sister, Maureen D'Avanzo-Caceci as well as his three nephews, Ryan Stranko, Derek Stranko, Cody D'Avanzo and niece, Amy D'Avanzo. Michael's family and friends will forever remember him for his warm and sincere smile and his endless love for his family. Michael will be buried at Oaklawn Cemetery with his father on Thursday May 19, 2011. Funeral arrangements will be private.
