Michael Goda Obituary
Michael Edward (Mike) Goda, age 67, passed away suddenly May 24, 2024, at his lakefront home in the community of Fawn Lake Forest in Hawley, Pennsylvania. Born September 4, 1956, in Milford, Connecticut, he was the son of the late William and Joan Goda. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Marcia Hopkins of Fairfield, Connecticut; his sisters Carol Greenslade (Jack) and Beverly Hurteau (Ray); his six nephews and nieces, Raymond Hurteau (Jaymie), lan Hopkins (Amy), Kathryn Hurteau (Sean), Caitlin Shilati (Jason), Andrew Hopkins (Meg), and David Greenslade (Casey), along with eight grandnephews and nieces. Mike had two Godsons, Raymond Hurteau and Mark Louis Prokop. He also leaves behind his beloved rescue dog, Zeva. Mike worked for large companies like IBM before shifting to roles at several cutting-edge tech start-ups. He was an avid skier, softball player, golfer and pool player. Mike was known for building long-lasting friendships. A visitation will be held at Teeter's Funeral Chapel, 505 Church St., Hawley on Thursday, May 30 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a funeral at 7 p.m.
