Michael P. Rogers, age 90, of Stratford, CT passed away peacefully Sunday, September 7th, 2025. He was the son of the late Michael and Rose Kupstas Rogers. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S Marines and went on to proudly serve his country. He was the devoted husband of Barbara Cimelus Rogers for 63 years, until her passing in September 2023. Michael worked for many years at Remington Arms and had many other ventures throughout his life, including the Town of Trumbull from where he retired. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Michael knew he had a playful sense of humor, his jokes never failed to make you smile.
He is survived by his two daughters, Michele Wargo of Stratford and Kathleen Kretvix and her husband Richard of Stratford. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley Wargo, Haley Wargo, Ryan and Brittany Kretvix, and Alexis Kretvix. He is also survived by his great-granddaughter Isabella Kretvix. He will be missed by his faithful dog Pixie, who was always by his side.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at St. Margaret's Shrine, 2523 Park Avenue, Bridgeport. His burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery with full Military Honors.
