I was in Pheonix, Arizona driving across the desert when I got a voicemail from my mother telling me what had happened.
Not only was I in shock, but I suddenly remembered things I had since forgotten about my childhood years.
Birthday parties in the McDonalds' play place, when my mom led our Brownie troop #333, field trips to Mystic and Lyman Orchards, Simon Lake elementary school, Devon...
Michelle was a solid fixture in my life as a child, and although I hadn't seen her in years save for once randomly at a party, I will always remember her in the warmest of lights...

I did not know Michelle but I did know Deborah (Debo) LaPlante. Since the accident, I cannot stop thinking about the tragic loss of both of these beautiful, lively-spirited women. I hope they are at peace now...my sincere condolences to the Leidy family.

Michelle was my daughter, Meghan's, first teacher at Tudor Time back in 2003. Megs had a hard time adjusting to a new school, but Miss Michelle was always there everyday to help assure her that everything will be okay and that Mommy always comes back at the end of the day. Megs always loved playing in the playground with Miss Michelle. This will be the first year that Megs will be attending camp at Tutor Time - I can only imagine how difficult it will be to walk into that school and not see Michelle. Words alone can never express my deepest sympthy - your daughter/sister was a bright and beautiful girl - God must have been looking for a wonderful teacher for all of his children in Heaven - he picked the best! May Michelle's memory always remain alive! God Bless Michelle!

I still cant belive that you are gone I say to myself over and over is it really true? Girl I miss you so much I will never forget you. We had some good times together. I send my deepest sympathy to you and your family. I've only known Michelle a short time and I know that she truly was an angel on earth. For it was Miss Michelle who took over for me when I could no longer take care of my grandson, Aric full time. And who better to watch over and care for him but a beautiful angel. All my worries melted away when I met her and saw how much Aric loved her and how he felt safe with her. She had patience, and compassion and she was a loving soul, that everyone loved to be around. Her bright smile and loving ways will always remain in my heart and my thoughts and prayers are with you her loving family.

I knew Michelle from middle school and from the bradilick's house. Everytime I saw her, she ALWAYS had a big smile on her face that brought light. She excepted everyone for who they were!!! To the Leidy family,
I am greatly sorry for your loss and also thankful for bringing Michelle into this world, for all of us to share. Michelle was my son, Aric's, very first teacher, and quickly became his favorite. Every morning he would look for her car in the parking lot at Tutor Time, and make sure she was there. His transition into school was very difficult for him and myself, and Michelle always put my mind at ease. She was the only one he would go to...and every morning she would come over and physically have to peel him off of me. She made it so much easier and fun for him to go to school. I don't know how I could have made it through this past year without her! She was a gentle soul, so kind and patient. She always had so much fun with the kids...she loved when Aric made her pancakes in the play kitchen!
We are all deeply saddened by this tragedy. Miss Michelle-You have touched my son's life like no other, and for that I will always be greatful.
Once an angel on Earth,
Now an angel in Heaven.

You were just drawn to her. I had met her while out one night and we just clicked. She wanted a change in her career and joined our team at Future and was definelty going to be one of our top performers! Her life was changing into a young adult...It seems so unfair but God has a plan for everyone and we must keep our eyes open to see how God wants us to use the loss of Michelle in this world. Michelle will be sadly missed. She is a sweetheart and I miss her terribly.

I went to middle school and also was a cheerleader for the Elks on the same squad with Michelle and Ms. Leidy as a coach. I remember Michelle showing me how to do a cheer or a move when I was haveing trouble. My sympathies go to her family and friends. A life that was cut too short, yet filled with so much meaning.
