The Rite of Burial will be held Today, Monday, November 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, 5458 Park Ave, Bridgeport, followed by interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of service in the church. The Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St., Bridgeport has been entrusted with the services. commercehillfh.com

Just heard of Mikail's passing today when I called the shop. Mikail was such a sweet soul. He always greeted everyone with a smile and had such a positive outlook on life, even when the waters got choppy. It was always neat to see him working in the front window of his shop while driving or walking by. He had such a great sense of humor and was a welcoming presence. He left us far too soon and will be sorely missed. RIP old friend.

Thoughts and prayers to Mikail's family. I started going to Mikail's barber shop earlier this year. He was so welcoming and excited to see each customer who came into his shop. I looked forward to seeing him each time I went. It's heartbreaking to hear about Mikail's passing. May he rest in peace.

Mikail was someone you only had to meet once. After that you were on his team. His welcoming attitude and sense of humor made him stand apart. The warmth of walking into his shop and meeting the whole family was amazing. There is a hole in the world today because we need more people like him in every community.

Our family was so very saddened to hear about Mikail's passing. We will miss his smiling face and warm greetings both at his shop and at the St. Baldrick's/Team Teddy event he regularly participated in. His positive energy made you feel welcomed and brightened the room.

Mike, you left us way to soon brother. While its been a few years since we last saw each other, I still vividly remember so many of the fun times we had. I can't recall a time when we weren't laughing altogether. You always brightened the room. I'll miss the epic handshake battles we had EVERY TIME we greeted eachother. (Yes..you won them all). God has a plan for us all and I know you are in a better place, but that doesn't ease the pain of losing you. May God bless your family and help them through this very difficult time. I am so very sorry to read about the passing of Mikail. He was our family's barber for several years when he owned his barber shop on Black Rock Turnpike. He was a caring, friendly, and funny person. We always enjoyed being in his company. My heartfelt sympathies are extended to his family.
