Mildred (Parker) Piretti, age 91 of Fairfield, the beloved wife of the late Peter Piretti for 65 years, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in Cambridge Health Center, Fairfield with her loving family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on August 20, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Springer) Parker and was a Fairfield resident most of her life. In her earlier years she worked at Casco and American Fabrics and was an avid gardener and home maker. She was a member of St. Emery Lady's Guild and a loving mother to her children. Survivors include her beloved family, Susan Neri of Fairfield, Beth Herde and husband Glenn of Stratford, Carl Piretti of Willimantic, her grandchildren, Jennifer Olimpieri and husband Carl, Anthony Neri, Kevin, Brian and Mark Herde and Meghan Piretti, her great grandchildren, Taylor and Jared Olimpieri, Haley and Lily Joseph, one brother, John Parker and wife Julie of Fairfield, a sister-in-law, Ann Piretti of Fairfield and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters and one brother. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Cambridge Manor (Chelsea Floor) for their love and care of Mildred. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donation may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Connecticut Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill CT 06067 in memory of Mildred. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY in St. Emery Church, 838 Kings Highway, Fairfield with a Mass of the Christian Burial.
