Molly Carroll Obituary

Carroll, Molly J.
Molly J. Altieri Carroll, affectionately known as Mimi to many, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 13, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Louis Altieri and Louise Pastore Henninger of Bridgeport, Connecticut. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Victor Altieri and David Henninger. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Francis Carroll of Trumbull, son, Attorney Francis Carroll, Jr. and his wife Judy of Ormond Beach, Florida, daughter, Deanna Bradshaw and her husband Arthur of Trumbull, her grandchildren, Jennifer Blackman (Mark), Meredith Walsky (Reid), Leslie Bradshaw, Joe Carroll, A.J. Bradshaw and Alanna Carroll as well as her great grandchildren, Brady, Rylee, Amalia and Cameron. She also leaves behind cousins, Molly Cahill, Robin Muth, Raymond Altieri (Barbara), Constance Aiello, Victoria Massimino, Trey Altieri, nephews, Ralph, Vic, Louis, and Tom as well as many other special relatives and friends. A Harding High School graduate, Molly mastered the word processing field before it became mainstream. As a result her career took her from the Friedburg's accounting department, to Kelley Girls and then to Branson Ultrasonic. She retired from O'Keefe Controls where she made many lifelong friends. Molly's priorities were her strong faith and her family. She especially loved playing with her great grandchildren. Molly's interests included classic movies, musicals and singing. She was one of WICC's Singing Sweethearts and spent many afternoons in New York City enjoying Broadway shows. She was an expert hostess and took great pride in having parties for her family and friends throughout the years. Molly had an easy charm and welcomed anyone she met into her heart and home. The Carroll Family would like to thank her doctors, especially Dr. Tom Duffy of the Yale Hematology Department, Dr. Myra Waynik, Dr. Cosmo Filiberto and Dr. Manny Pun who were Molly's primary care doctors for 30 years. Funeral services will take place on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 12:30 p.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
