Mozelle Carter Obituary

CARTER Mozelle L. Carter, age 62 of Bridgeport, departed this life August 6, 2010. Born in Gastonia, N.C., October 8, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lucille Carter. Prior to retiring, she was employed at Winchester Repeating Arms as a Fork Lift Operator. She was a member of Messiah Baptist Church in Bridgeport. Ms. Carter leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Rosetta Carter and Regina A. Carter Browning; a son, Harry L. Carter; a brother, Arthur Carter (Carolyn); sisters, Almatha Carter, Annette Sanders (Alphonso) and Mamie Wilson (Charles); nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by sisters, Johnsie L., Prudence and Barbara Doris Carter. A celebration of Ms. Carter's life and legacy will be held Friday, August 13, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Messiah Baptist Church, 210 Congress St., Bridgeport. Viewing and visitation will be held at the church from 9 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Park Cemetery. Professional services entrusted to Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven.
