We remember Raguvir (Dr. Nuggehalli Raghuvir) fondly and miss him. He was a very dear friend and it was always such a joy to see him, talk to him and enjoy his immense wit and wisdom. I (Jay) feel that I have lost a great link to our India of the Gandhi, Nehru era and connections to reminiscing Malleshwaram, Bangalore, Mysuru, Puranic stories,Samskrit shlokas etc..essentially a vital part of India's majestic cultural heritage. Raghuvir always shared his wisdom and experiences with vitality and exuberance. He is in Heaven (Swargaloka) now where his soul is in peace and united with the great Atman. He is forever looking at his dear Swarna, Nina and family, Veena and family and his friends and relatives with constant love and blessings. Hilkka and I and our family are fortunate to have known him intimately and celebrated many important life's events together. We will always cherish his memories.

Raghu was my longtime friend I found in USA when I arrived in 1960. He was a 'gentleman' who treated everybody well.Although I miss him physically, he will remain in my heart for ever until my own end.

Dr Raghuvir was my advisor as a biology major at the University of Bridgeport. It was always a pleasure to sit in his office to discuss my academic future.
It was my privilege to treat a family member professionally in the mid-1980's. My deepest condolences to the family.
