Nancy Lee Horvath, age 80, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully November 10, 2015 at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Raised in Easton, the daughter of Robert and Winnie Kent, she was a graduate of Bassick High School and Butler Business School. She went on to a career as a legal secretary, working for the law offices of Attorney Cecelia Rosenberg, and for Attorney Milton Cohn. Nancy, an avid artist, was a member of the Third Stream Artists, Connecticut Classic Arts, Fairfield County Arts Association, and the Black Rock Art Guild. She took art classes at the Westport Senior Center and the Eisenhower Senior Center. A resident of the Black Rock section of Bridgeport for over 50 years, she exhibited her paintings at the Burroughs Community Center, Captain's Cove, Harborview Market, Framemakers Art Gallery, and the CitiBank Art Gallery. Nancy was predeceased by her husband Joseph J. Horvath. They were married for over 50 years. A musician, his love of music complemented Nancy's love of art. Nancy is survived by her mother, Winnie Kent, of Easton; her sisters Valerie Kent, of North Attleboro, MA, and Barbara Caulkins, of Woodbury; her brother Ronald Kent, of Branford; her son Russell Horvath and his wife Jeanne, of Stratford; her son Guy Horvath and his wife Cam, of Bridgeport; and her grandchildren Lee and May.
