His many interests included being a member of a Pinochle club, reading National Geographic magazine and watching history and science fiction documentaries. He also enjoyed skiing for many years with family and friends including trips to Killington, VT, Aspen, and Vail, Colorado, Big Sky, Montana and Lake Tahoe, Nevada. He traveled often with family including trips to Greece and Alaska. He carried on the family holiday traditions started by his parents for Memorial Day and Thanksgiving. In honor of the family patriarch's birthday in June, he even hosted a strawberry shortcake evening. Retirement also meant returning to work on the family farm that has been in the Wells family for 4 generations. When his dad sold the chickens, and later the milk cows, he helped his brother Bob, selling Christmas trees, and then nursery plants. Nate carried on the business after Bob's passing which is still thriving today on Bridgeport Avenue. Nate is survived by two older brothers, Thomas H. Wells (Alyce), Royal B.
