Norma Allegri
Allegri- Norma, daughter of Joseph Allegri and Ines Perteghella Allegri, was born August 2,1928 in Bridgeport Ct., went peacefully to join her family on August 18, 2021. She graduated from Central High School (1947), New Haven State Teachers College with a Bachelor of Science degree (1951 and Danbury State Teachers College (1970) with a Masters in Education degree. Norma taught 4th and 5th grade at the elementary schools in Stratford for 32 years. Because of her love of languages, Norma studied Italian with Mary Colonese and Spanish with Mr. Zilli. In her senior years with her brother Dino, Norma wintered in Florida and was on the golf course most sunny days. Together Norma and Dino enjoyed traveling to Australia, Italy and Guatemala to visit relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and her beloved brother, Dino. She is survived by her loving cousins, Ann May Christie, Anna Marie Valites, numerous cousins in other states, dear friend Rose Bertanza, Alonso and Ortega families in Guatemala and Silvino Segattini and family in Italy. A special thank you to Rose, John Tallent, Virginia and Evani for assisting Norma in her desire to remain in her home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Church of the Assumption. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Thursday October 14, 2021 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd, Fairfield.
