Condolences to all on Patty's passing. She was an Ansonia High School classmate of my sister Shirley's.
I had not seen her recently and discovered today that she was gone.
She was a bright light. And a tireless runner. My heartfelt sympathy to her family.
I'll miss not seeing you Patty at 5k's Patty. But I'll remember you and those jingle bells you would wear at the "Chili Chilly"' run on New Year's Day.

I remember running up a hill with Patty in a Middlefield race, down a hill in a Stratford race and around a grassy field in Thomaston, CT for her 100th town! Patty dressed up as a Bumble Bee for her 100th Town Race Completion and became known as "Queen Bee!" At that race, she announced that she was the oldest member of the Run 169 Towns Society. Patty admirably finished the 169 CT Town Quest in Canterbury, CT on December 16, 2018, becoming the 72nd Royalty Member/Queen. Patty was an inspiration and will be remembered for her determination to finish every race.
May you rest in peace, Queen Bee, friend and 169'er!
Queen Karen Rogers, First Queen of the Run 169 Towns Society

My deepest sympathy to the family and especially Richard Nelson for the loss of a wonderful person. I got to know Patricia and Richard from race running all over Conn. She was an avid , dedicated runner and a member of the Run 169 Society. She met that challenge and completed running in every town in Conn.. Also, God bless Richard for helping Patty to achieve that goal by driving to all the corners of the state.

Over the years, I have had the genuine pleasure of running behind; next to; and/or, on rare occasions, ahead of Pat, in more road races than I can count. Her stamina and energy never ceased to amaze me! Yet more than her physical abilities I have always admired her strength of character and resilience, through good times and bad. I will miss her, but I know as the Bible instructs us, Pat has " run the good race " My sincere sympathy to her entire, wonderful family.
