Patricia Tobis Obituary

Tobis, Patricia L.
Patricia Louise Tobis, age 74, of 50 Elliott Road, Trumbull, CT beloved wife of Rudolph Tobis, died peacefully in her sleep on September 14, 2012. She was born on March 17th 1938 in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Emily and Angelo Stefanello.
She also had 26 years of marriage with the late Louis T. Olivares and is leaves her three devoted children, Thomas Olivares, Marcangelo Olivares, and Stefanie (Olivares) Cohen.
She is survived by with her 10 grandchildren, Thomas L. Olivares, Daniel C. Olivares, Jason F. Olivares, Matthew C. Olivares, Nicholas A. Olivares, Justin P. Cohen, Andrew N. Cohen, Jessica A. Cohen, Amanda M. Cohen, Jacqueline S. Cohen.
Pat is also survived by her two loving sisters, Camille Fatto and her husband, Vincent, and Carol Kannon and her son, Christian. She is loved and remembered by her many cousins, nephews and nieces.
After graduation, Pat worked as a secretary, eventually owning and operating a domestic cleaning business; where her kindness and happiness touched many lives.
She was a great dancer who loved to dance and share her love of life with her dance friends, often three or more nights per week.
She used her passion for dancing and her outgoing personality to enrich the lives of many with the members of the "Dance for Life" group. They traveled to neighboring nursing homes, getting residents up and dancing!
She was a gifted graphic artist, specializing in oil, pastel and watercolor. Her style and vision won her awards.
She enjoyed traveling the world with Rudy. They enjoyed cruises, religious pilgrimages and sightseeing-and DANCING!!!
She was an avid and longtime member of St. Jude Parish in Monroe, CT, where she willingly participated in entertaining and singing at the annual Italian Festival fundraiser. She always shared her infectious sense of happiness and joy and blessed the lives of all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday September 19th at 10:00 am at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church 707 Monroe Turnpike Monroe. Interment will follow locally. Friends may visit Tuesday September 18th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home 315 Monroe Turnpike Monroe.
