Paul Holub
On January 19, 2023, Paul Holub was called by God to join his beloved wife, parents and loved ones in heaven. He was born Paul Gerard Holub on March 26, 1943 as the second child of two children to Lillian May and Howard Holub in Whitestone, NY. He graduated from Flushing High School and the City College of New York and became an Architect in 1971 in New York State. He was an avid golfer, and a loyal New York Rangers Hockey fan whose ardent support will be sorely missed. Paul was married on September 3, 1967, to Gail Evelyn Montgomery; and is survived by his sons Douglas and Matthew Holub of Oxford, CT and his older brother John Holub of Holden, ME.
He was beloved by his sister-in-law Gay Ann Schefcik of Venice FL; his brother-in-law Glenn Montgomery and his wife Suzanne of Pensacola, FL; his brother-in-law and best friend Gregg Montgomery and his wife Dorothy of Plandome Manor, NY will have a large hole in their hearts. Also survived by nieces and nephews: Kristina Owenburg and her husband Ryan and their daughters Avery and Harper, Suzanne Schefcik and her daughter Margaret, Steven Schefcik, Brian Montgomery, Tracy McGrew and her husband Mark and their children Zac and Nola, Adam Montgomery and his wife Margot and their daughter Charlotte, and Ryan Montgomery and his wife Sarah and their daughter Emma, Lisa Desjardins and her husband Bill and Laura Tolbert and her husband Scott.
He will be sorely missed by his family, loved ones, associates and friends at Lordship Community Church and Oxford Greens. He will be remembered fondly for his love, patience, undying affection, and devotion for all of those around him.
Friends may greet the family on Thursday January 26, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. at Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford, Connecticut. All are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday January 27, 2023 at 10:30 am at Lordship Community Church, 179 Prospect Drive, Stratford, Connecticut.
