Paul Lichtenberger Obituary

LICHTENBERGER Paul F. Lichtenberger, age 80, of Stratford, beloved husband of Claire Mitchell Lichtenberger, died on Monday, May 1, 2006. Mr. Lichtenberger was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on April 27, 1926, to the late Theodore F. and Margaret Brown Lichtenberger, and was a Stratford resident for 50 years. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Lichtenberger was retired from Carpenter Steel Co. where he was employed for many years. He was also a former state policeman in the Westport Barracks for several years. Survivors in addition to his wife, include a son, Paul M. Lichtenberger and his wife, Annis OPDonnell of Florida; a daugther, Judith A. Lichtenberger of Stratford; a brother, Charles E. Lichtenberger (Lorriane) of South Carolina; a sister, Patricia Conklin of Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Emily Minor and Ryan Simmons; a great-grandddaughter, Cherish Minor; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Lichtenberger was predeceased by a brother, Theodore J. Lichtenberger; and by a sister, Margaret A. Lichtenberger. Friends are invited to attend graveside funeral services on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 10 a.m. in Union Cemetery, Stratford. There will be no calling hours. The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford, is in charge of arrangements.

Paul will be missed by many people here at davita. We will remember him always for his great sense of humor during the holidays wearing his reindeer antlers and his bunny ears.He always put a smile on our face and we know we did the same for him .Our prayers are with his family during this time of sorrow.
