Dear Salerno family,
I want to extend my sincere sympathy. I just heard of your loss. I met Paul when I began my career as a Financial Rep at Barnum Financial. He was always willing to extend a helping hand - I learned a great deal from his experience and wealth of knowledge. I will always be grateful. Dear Paula: I did not have the courage to speak to you at the memorial mass. I have no words to express other than to offer you, Olivia and Andrew my deepest and sincerest sympathy. Paul and I were friends for almost 20 years going back to our clerkship days. I could always count on Paul - he was a true gentlemen and scholar. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you and the kids. I would be honored if you called upon me. God Bless you. Lucio.

To Paula and Family,
I heard about Pauls passing and I couldn't believe it when I heard. I used to sit in the office next to him when I used to do work for Tony P. and I'll never forget his big smile, and the trips we all took togegther at Leaders Conference. He was a wonderful person. I haven't seen you in a while but I haven't forgotten you. In this time of loss let the memories and good times give you the strength you need. Your time with him was short but cherish the time you did have with him. Sometimes things happen and we can't make any sense of them but God is with you to carry you thru it.
You are in my prayers...

Dear Paula and Family,
We are deeply saddened to hear about Paul's passing. We knew him for such a short time, but enjoyed his presence every minute - he was a very good and loving man. Our production of Oklahoma was a much better experience because he was there. He had a great committment to the show and a sense of humor that eased any tension. May God give you peace at this time and know we are with you in thought and prayer always.

To All the Salerno Family,
I have such fond memories of Paul from our younger days. Many times in the summer he would come down in the sailboat to visit friends at Cedar Beach. Paul was always willing to give a sailing lesson.
Often times, I would see him at the Saley's house. Sometimes, we would be there for the Sunday morning cookouts. He was always friendly, smiling, laughing, and joking around. Paul had such a huge personality! Seeing him again as adults, a few times over the years, he was always engaging in conversation and asking about others.
He will be missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him.
I am very sorry for your loss of a husband, a father, a brother, and a son.
Sincerely,
Kimberly DeGrazia

I remember when I first met Paul, working at MetLife, while I was working in the admin. department. Paul had just been hired with MetLife, and also just had a newborn son, Andrew. I knew right away that Paul had the drive and determination to be a tremendous success and asset to the company. I found him to be very motivating, energetic and a true talent. Shortly thereafter, Paul offered me a position to work directly with him, and I jumped at the opportunity. Over the course of six years, I learned more than I could have ever imagined. Paul was extremely knowledgable, an innovator, self starter, always brave and never afraid to try something new within his career and make it happen. It is because of Paul that I was able to become a true Personal Marketing Assistant He always pushed me to be the best that I could be in my career, even with things I didn't think I could achieve. I helped Paul with many new ideas and also to get many programs off the ground and running, including various seminar programs and a radio show. I am proud and honored to have worked with him and support his career.. He was truly an asset, with a tremendous sense of humor, he always had an ear for me, when I needed one. He was understanding, patient and supportive to me through some difficult times, and I will never forget that. There are so many great memories I have working for Paul, he encouraged me always, and treated me like a partner within our practice. I truly appreciate all of the things the Paul taught me and all of the laughs and good times we had. I will always respect what Paul has done for me and the opportunity he gave me. My thoughts and prayers are with Paula, Andrew, Olivia, Paul's wonderful parents, and the rest of his family through this difficult time. Paul will be truly missed, and never forgotten. I am so thankful to have had the priviledge to know him as a co-worker and a friend, and will miss him always.

To the Salerno Family:
Although I hadn't seen Paul for the last few years, I was a colleague of his in the CBA Elder Law Section and enjoyed our relationship and his professional knowledge.
In fact, my wife and I bought our long-term care policies from him.
I feel for all of you and express my sincere condolences. The outpouring of support should help you through this difficult time.

Paul was a kind and fun loving person. I had the great pleasure of knowing him at Jonathan Law and remember being his spirit buddy for football and once the season was over he found out it was me and track me down at one of my classes and gave me a special thank you gift. Just thinking of him brings a smile to me face. He will be greatly missed and his memories shall live on forever. God Bless!

I am so saddened to hear of Paul's passing! I remember him fondly in the school production of "Oliver!" back in the 80's where he shared the stage with my sister and played the marvelous part of "Fagan". He was the hit of the play and the talk about town! If there was an Academy Award given for high school performances, Paul would have won it hands down! Paul had a special way of making everyone feel comfortable around him with his quick wit and great sense of humor and always seemed to have a group of people around him at every turn. I was amazed too at the close bond that existed between all the Salerno siblings. You could tell they really loved and cared for one another, and held each other in high regard. The world has lost a truly special person, but the heavens have gained a beautiful angel. Prayers and thoughts of comfort are being sent now to the entire Salerno family on Paul's passing. May he rest in peace always.

To The Salerno Family:
I was blessed to have had the opportunity to work for Paul Salerno a few years ago at Met. I remember thinking to myself, I don't quite know if this position is for me in the begining, and I remember Paul sitting me down and encouraging me to always do my best and praising my abilities and potential. He taught me to never ever say "I can't do this". He was not only an amazing teacher but a tremendous asset to Met. He was someone who brought so much opportunity to the table not just for his own practice but for others as well. If it was not for Paul, I probably in all honesty would not be alive today, I would not know how important it is to plan for the future, and I also as a single parent would not have a clue as to the best way to plan for my own son's future and when to start. There are several achievements I have made in my life because of the advice and knowledge Paul Salerno has given me, and I will never forget that. He is truly an amazing person that will be missed. I am very sad to hear of his passing and my heart goes out to Paul's loving family and close friends. He touched many people's lives. He is a wonderful person that will be missed dearly.

We took Paul's course at Trumbull Town Hall and there was nothing like it. He was charming, witty, informative, and threw stuffed Metlife dogs. He managed our Metlife accounts and us with skill, enthusiasm, & pizazz. He was a special person and we will miss him terribly, too. Hugs to you all.

I first met Paul when he answered an employment ad in the local paper. Even then, I knew I was in over my head and sensing his genius and quick wit asked the Managing Director to take the call. Very smart move on my part. Paul was a top producer at MetLife from the get-go. That was 10 years ago, and I am grateful for each and every one that I knew Paul and Paula, Andrew and Olivia.
Paul, my friend, may your family continuously be blessed. You are in all of our prayers. I will always miss your intellect and the privilege of working with you.

We were terribly saddened to read of your loss. We first met Paul back in 1995 on a family matter and were very impressed with his knowledge of his field; his good counsel; and his genuine friendship to my father-in-law, Ben, and the rest of us. Whenever a friend or client was in need of insurance guidance, Paul was always the first to be contacted. We thought of him not only as an extremely able professional to take care of our needs but also as a friend. We hope that, in time, you will find comfort in the many happy memories you have of the time you shared.
