I am truly sorry to hear of the loss of our brother, Pao. I had the fortune to be in his company at West Point and visited his home and enjoyed the hospitality of his family several times, for which I was very grateful. I have lost touch with Phil and his family since then, and I am very sad to hear this news. My greatest memory of Phil was that smile of his you knew he was up to something! He was very genuine in his pure enjoyment of the moment. I miss you my friend and my condolences to your family.

To Phil's family,
I'm so sad to hear of his death. "Pao" and I were in the same company at West Point, thirty-some years ago. I rarely saw him after graduation in 1984, but I remember him vividly as a stand-up guy, and a good man.
I'm so terribly sorry for your loss.

The loss of Pao, my dear friend, West Point Roommate, and best man in my wedding saddens me greatly. I loved Phil like a brother and his memory and our times together will always be dear and special to me. My heart goes out to his family who I dont personally know, but if there are anything like Pao I know you are special and loved.

I met Phil at West Point and had the privilege of meeting his extended family and enjoying Grandma Paolini's fantastic Sunday brunches on several occasions. He was one of the toughest, honest, and loyal people I met at an institution full of them and his friendship kept us going through some very hard times. I could always get a sense of the truth of things talking to Phil and will miss him greatly. My sincerest condolences to you all and I am so sad that he was taken from us too soon.

Dear Paolini Family, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Phil's death from one of my sisters, who lives in Connecticut. I am a West Point class mate of Phil's and was one of his companymates for two years, as well as a roommate for one semester. He was a friend and someone I respected for his strength and toughness. I remember Phil with great affection. I am terribly sad for your loss and pray that Phil rests in peace. I also pray you find some comfort in knowing so many others loved him too.
