Phyllis Baldwin Obituary
Phyllis Baldwin, age 67, of Bridgeport entered eternal rest Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Bridgeport Hospital . Phyllis was employed with Bridgeport Hospital as a physical therapist for thirty-five years. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, John Baldwin, two daughters, Connie (John) Smith, Teresa Baldwin all of Bridgeport; god- daughter, Deneizsa Saunders, five sisters, Cornelis Canada, Mary Sue Powell, Brenda Powell, Kathy Palmer, Jewel Powell, three brothers, Harry Lee Powell Jr., Andrew Powell, Michael Powell, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several special nephews, nieces other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday 6:00 PM at Morton's Mortuary Chapel, 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane , Bridgeport , CT with Bishop James Shannon, officiating. Interment will take place Friday 10:00 AM at Park Cemetery , Bridgeport , CT. Friends are invited to the viewing Thursday from 5-6 PM at the funeral home. See www.mortonsmortuary.com

To the Baldwin Powell Family. I am Pauline Campbell 1st cousin to Phyllis. Daughter of Easter Carrie Graham Hill. Our Family regret the loss of Phyllis. She was a joy in our lives when she lived in North Carolina. We will never forget her. May God keep his loving arms of protection around each of you. He doesn't put any burderns on us that we can't bear. Just keep faith in God and it will sustain you.

Phyllis was a second mother to many and I am glad I had the pleasure of being one of her children. Everyday we sat on the porch on Connecticut Avenue and laughed until it hurts. Mom helped everyone and she knew rehab but she was the doctor. She will be greatly missed but God saw fit to bring her home. I know she is probably making God laugh. Teresa, my sister, stay strong.
